DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES
CODE.ORGDANCE MAT TYPING |
Course assigned to Stage 1 Classes:
CS Fundamentals Designed to be fun and engaging, Code.org’s progression of Computer Science Fundamentals courses blend online and "unplugged" non-computer activities to teach students computational thinking, problem solving, programming concepts and digital citizenship. There are four levels to play, each divided into three stages.
You start by learning the home row keys. Each stage builds on previous lessons, introducing new letters as you progress. You’ll soon be touch typing like an expert! At the end of each level you can test your typing speed and get a fun reward. |
1. Click the CODE.ORG button that will take you to the site.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page to 'Join a Section'. Enter the class code on your log in card, select your name and then your secret monster! 3. Work through the program in the time allocated 'Digital Technologies' time in the Weekly Schedule. Alternatively, students can work through levels on Dance Mat and continue to improve their typing skills.
Click the button to take you through to the website and scroll to the level you are currently working through. |
